Call Center Career – Anyone?

Our country has become one of the top Business Process
Outsourcing (BPO) service providers all over the globe.
Next to India, the Call
Center Industry is the 2nd largest BPO in the
world. This is a continuously booming industry providing
jobs to millions of Filipinos across the country. Right
now, we have about 800 call centers, and this number
continuously increasing. With this growth, our government
has allocated vast support through skills enhancements and
trainings for all those who intend to work in call center.
Colegio
de San Juan de Letran Calamba is among the very few
selected institutions that have been tapped by TESDA
(Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) to
provide Free Course for Call Center Agents to the people
of Laguna. The free training is provided under the banner
of the
School
of Computer Studies
and Technology (SCST). The school has produced graduates,
most of whom are now working as call center agents. It is
with pride to have produced graduates who are now among
the top agents in their companies. One of the graduates
was awarded “Agent of the Month” at West Contact Services
and another from the same batch has topped the CSAT
(Customer Satisfaction) requirement of the company. One
graduate from the 2nd batch tops the training
at Sutherland Global Services outperforming even those who
have several years of call center experiences. Unlike any
other training centers, graduates of Colegio de San Juan
de Letran are endorsed to call center partners. Further
assistance is also provided until the graduates are
employed.
