Letran Calamba Embraces Iso 9001:2008
The Colegio recognizes the
importance of providing opportunities for institutional
growth through self-study and evaluation and
self-regulation. Integrated in the strategic plan of the
Colegio is the thrust to continuously strive for
excellence through PACUCOA accreditation and ISO
certification.
It is the thrust of the Colegio to ensure that quality
services are given to its stakeholders in order to ensure
optimum customer satisfaction. The Colegio responds to the
need for continuous improvement and it adheres to a total
quality management philosophy. To achieve the Colegio’s
vision to be a University, the management, personnel, and
students are involved in program planning and
implementation to meet or exceed customers satisfaction.
This AY 2012-2013, the Colegio
will apply for ISO 9001:2008 certification. This will
assess whether all the systems and procedures of the
Colegio are properly implemented and if they meet customer
needs.
Last June 27-29, 2012 to July 4, 2012, Letran Calamba
participated in the series of trainings organized by the
Accreditation Center in coordination with TUV SUD PSB
Philippines Inc. and University of Sto. Tomas. About 96%
of the administrators passed the Internal Quality Audit
Examination given by TUV SUD PSB Philippines Inc.
The administrators understood what ISO 9001 means for the
Colegio.
The June 27-29, 2012 training was facilitated by Mr.
Edward Pike, TUV SUV PSB Philippines Inc. Lead Auditor,
while Rev. Fr. Arthur Dingel, UST’s Assistant to the
Rector for Planning and Quality Management handled the
July 4, 2012 training.
Generally, the activity yielded an Excellent rating (mean
= 4.63). The June 27, 2012 training on ISO 9001:2008
Awareness got a Very Good rating (mean = 4.45). While the
Internal Quality Audit Training (ISO 19011:2011) and
Development & Implementation of ISO General Requirements
received Excellent rating (mean = 4.64 and 4.81,
respectively).
Through the leadership of the Academics and Research
Division, the Colegio continues to strive in improving its
educational services to ensure the integral development of
its stakeholders particularly that of the students. |
