Letran Calamba held its Investiture for the 9th Rector and President of the Colegio, Rev. Fr. Arthur Borondia Dingel, O.P, last 23rd of June 2017.

The solemn investiture started with a Eucharistic Celebration led by Prior Provincial of the Dominican Province of the Philippines, Rev. Fr. Napoleon B. Sipalay Jr., O.P. The activity was attended by joined Letran Community, the new Rector’s friends and family members, former colleagues from University of Santo Tomas, Letran Manila, Aquinas University, Asian Institute of Management, partner schools, and companies, among others from Laguna and NCR.

Corporate Secretary Rev. Fr. Jessie R. Yap, O.P. commenced the Confirmation and Acceptance of Election to the new Rector and President. Fr. Dingel took his Profession of Faith and Oath of Fidelity, followed by the Imposition of the Medallion. Immediate Past Rector and President of the Colegio, Rev. Fr. Honorato C. Castigador, O.P. led the Transfer of the Letran Mace to the New Rector and President, witnessed by Rev. Fr. Sipalay Jr., O.P. and CHED Director IV, Dr. Yanga.

In his Inaugural Speech, the new Rector and President stated that he will pursue the Vision that the Colegio has carefully initiated, and take care of the culture the Colegio has molded.

“I will pursue the Vision you have painstakingly initiated. I will guard the school’s religious identity and culture you have established. I will protect and enrich the quality management system you have crafted. I will continue your target for competitive advantage. I will champion your cause towards spreading academic excellence, and most importantly, I will constantly invite you and humbly ask for your counsel as together, we ride into our Quadrennial anniversary.” –Rev.
