"Education is not confined to a curriculum; it is a lifelong pursuit."
In an era defined by rapid technological shifts and economic evolution, staying ahead requires more than just keeping pace—it demands futureproofing.
On June 27, 2026, GS & CLLaPS, in partnership with LGSS, hosted its flagship mid-term learning session: "Futureproofing Yourself in a Rapidly Changing World through Data Analytics" and "Empowering Professionals through Financial Literacy." This trimester’s traditional event brought together graduate students, seasoned faculty members, and academic leaders, including the Colegio’s Rector and President Fr. Roman “Don” Santos, O.P., Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Floricon Encabo, and GS & CLLaPS Dean Dr. Roberto Revilla.
Highlights & Insights
On Grit: Father Rector, Fr. Don Santos, O.P., set a powerful tone for the day. His inspirational address challenged attendees to cultivate grit—the unique intersection of passion and perseverance—while embracing a mindset of continuous, lifelong learning.
The Power of Data: Dr. Allen Nazareno (IMS, UPLB) demystified the landscape of Data Analytics, equipping professionals with the frameworks and tools needed to turn raw data into actionable, strategic insights.
Financial Empowerment: Ms. Cherry Villegas (Bureau of the Treasury) delivered a guide on financial literacy, providing the audience with the tools and mindsets required to navigate modern economic complexities securely.
Beyond the Classroom
This learning session represents a core tradition for GS & CLLaPS. By stepping outside the boundaries of formal classrooms, the initiative empowers both students and professors to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world business applications. Through events like these, the institution continues to nurture agile leaders ready to make a global impact.
